Aircraft Seating Materials are the components of the seating arrangement employed for comfortable passenger accommodation during the flight. These materials impact on the fuel consumption during the flight, so careful selection is required without compromising the passenger comfort. In recent times carbon composites are replacing aluminum for the seat structure due to its durability, lighter weight and several other factors. With the uplift of ban on use of magnesium in seating materials, production of magnesium alloy based seating materials is initiated.
