Reverse osmosis (RO) is a water purification technology that is used to remove ions, molecules, and larger particles from drinking water. This process is carried out using a semipermeable membrane made up of cellulose or other material. This water purification technology is gaining huge popularity in most part of the world due to increasing water pollution and rising number of water borne diseases. Globally increasing awareness about water borne diseases and water pollution is expected to be the key growth drivers for the RO membranes during the period of study. However water scarcity and infrastructure related problems in the African sub continent is expected to be major restraint over the period of study.

This report identifies the global reverse osmosis membranes market size in for the year 2014-2016, and forecast of the same for year 2021. It also highlights the potential growth opportunities in the coming years, while also reviewing the market drivers, restraints, growth indicators, challenges, market dynamics, competitive landscape, and other key aspects with respect to reverse osmosis membranes market.
Reverse Osmosis Membranes Market

Geographically, North America dominated the reverse osmosis membranes market due to higher awareness about water borne diseases and usage of RO systems by industrial and government bodies. North America was followed by Europe and Asia-Pacific as the second and third largest consumer of reverse osmosis membranes. Asia Pacific is projected to have the fastest growth, owing to rapidly expanding industrial base, increasing awareness and new regulations regarding water treatment especially in the major regional economies such as India and China in the region.
