Disperse dyes are synthetic in nature and are far less water-soluble. Dye material is finely grounded in the form of paste or a powder. Disperse dyes are generally used with dye bath solutions in which dispersing agents are employed to increase the water solubility of the dye. Disperse dyes are used to dye cellulose acetate, cellulose triacetate, polyester, nylon and acrylic fibers. The high usage of disperse dyes in the textile fibers market is expected to impel the global disperse dyes market.
Two forms of disperse dyes are generally available one being liquid form containing of around 10 to 20% dispersing agents and other is powder form consists of around 40 to 60% dispersing agents. In the disperse dyes formulations lignin-sulfonates and formaldehyde condensation products are increasingly used. Disperse dyes have three main types, low energy, medium energy and high energy possessing high dyeing rate, moderate dyeing rate and low dyeing rate respectively.
The major driving factors for disperse dye market are growing consumer demand for color variants in various product categories and growth in end user industries.
