Perfluoropolyether (PFPE) is family of synthetic fluorinated fluids that are used to formulate thremooxidatively lubricants available today. Oxidative stability extends lubricant life also it reduces carbonaceous deposits that can worsen wear and shorten component life. The market is growing at a substantial pace across the globe owing to its excellent properties as lubricants. It is now used in almost all sectors from chemical industries to complex machineries in space industries. The rising automobile production, both commercial and personal, have further boosted the market because of its direct use as lubricants in ball bearings, joints and various pivots used for automotive parts manufacturing. Many nations across the globe now depend on nuclear power for their electricity. PFPE is the only lubricant that can withstand the harmful radiations which are emitted during the reaction thus proving helpful in improving the life span of the equipment.

For the purposes of this study, the market is segmented based on end user and region. The market for PFPE market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 3.76% during the period of 2016 - 2021. Based on the end-user global market is classified into chemicals, electronics, military, automotive, aerospace, pharma, space exploration, nuclear, HVAC, data processing, and others. The report also comprises of the region wise study of the global market including Americas, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Rest of the World.

As operating conditions in automotive sector become increasingly hotter and components running much faster than it used to be, the use of conventional lubricants proved to be less useful. Thus, PFPE based lubricants are useful to overcome these conditions in this industry. Moreover, these fluoro-ethers have a wide temperature range and thus provide a robust resistance to all the complex parts of various space crafts.

The market comprises mostly of local and regional players prominently from United States and European nations.
