Thermoplastic Vulcanizates (TPV) or dynamic vulcanizates are itself a commercially high valued group of polymer blends. They contain finely dispersed micron-size rubber particles in a thermoplastic matrix which give peculiar properties of conventional vulcanized elastomers with the ease of thermoplastic melt processes. In most of the cases it consists of vulcanized EPDM and PP matrix. With ever growing market, TPV’s have got ample applications among various fields. The excellent properties of this material make it ideal to satisfy the demanding requirements of automobile and industrial sectors.

TPV’s have steadily gained popularity in many of its application sectors. It outperforms traditional rubber in many applications, also offering many additional features for parts made of traditional rubber. It renders many mechanical and thermal properties. It provides better properties compared to other thermoplastics.

There are several processing techniques out of which one named, Electron Induced Reactive Processing is a new and a popular processing technique where in the raw materials based on the TPV’s are processed.
