Silica Fume is a fine powder composed as a by-product of silica metal or ferrosilicon alloys in smelters using electric arc boilers. They are mainly used in concrete applications due to its chemical and physical properties such as pozzolanic, cementitious. Silica Fume is also known as condensed silica fume, microsilica, votalilized silica.

The Silica fume market is segmented as by applications, by source and by geography. By application the silica fume market is segmented as construction, chemical production operations, oil & gas operations, and others. Silica fume adds value when they are used in concrete to improve its properties, in particular its strength, bonding and resistance. By source the silica fume market can be distinguished between production from silica metal and production from ferrosilicon alloys. The report also relates silica fume with its other substitutes on the basis of properties and cost analysis. Furthermore, price analysis for silica fume across different regions is also included in the report.

The report covers the global silica fume market and segments the market on the basis of application, source and region.
