Anisindione also know with the brand name Miradon, is an artificial anticoagulant and a derivative of indanedione. Anisindione helps in preventing the formation of active procoagulation factors II, VII, IX, and X, as well as the anticoagulant proteins C and S, in the liver by reducing the growth of the vitamin K–mediated gamma-carboxylation of precursor proteins. Anisindione is used for anticoagulant or antithrombotic drugs to cure thrombosis which is caused due to smoking, obesity, pregnancy, medical and genetic conditions, blood vessel damage, and inactivity among others. Anisindione aids in reducing thrombus formation and helps in curing the body’s abnormal blood.

This report identifies the anisindione market size in for the year 2014-2016, and forecast of the same for year 2021. It also highlights the potential growth opportunities in the coming years, while also reviewing the market drivers, restraints, growth indicators, challenges, market dynamics, competitive landscape, and other key aspects with respect to anisindione market.

Anisindione Market

Globally North America dominated the market for anisindione in 2015 due to higher usage of anisindione as an anticoagulant in medical science along with applications in protein synthesis. North America was followed by Europe and Asia-Pacific as the second and third largest markets respectively for anisindione in 2015. Asia-Pacific is expected to be the fastest growing market for the anisindione during the period of study due to increasing demand for protein hydrolysis enzymes in major emerging economies in the region coupled with increasing population in the region which is expected to increase in demand for anticoagulant drugs during the period of study.
