Almost every electronic device, which is manufactured today, has some form of data connection or the other. The connection is either through Bluetooth, or NFC or through WiFi. In this day and age, it is absolutely essential that the components that are required to provide this level of connectivity for the consumer electronic devices. RF components form the basic building blocks for providing this connectivity. Through different combinations of these components, different levels of connectivity can be enabled for these devices. The demand for these devices will increase considerably in the coming years in line with the demand for Internet of Things. Through the Internet of Things era, all devices will be able to communicate with each other as well as with a central system in a particular facility. For example, the set-top-box in a house will be able to communicate with a smart thermostat which will be able to detect if anyone is in the room or not. If anyone is not present in the room, the thermostat will send a signal to the set-top-box, which will then power down. These components also help in energy conservation as through continuous communication, the various devices can correspondingly power on or off.
