Sodium bisulphite also known as sodium hydrogen sulfite is a chemical compound with the chemical formula NaHSO3. Sodium bisulphite is used as a food additive and also in several technical applications. Sodium bisulphite, a salt of bisulphite can be prepared by bubbling sulfur dioxide in a solution of sodium carbonate in water. Sodium bisulphite in contact with chlorine bleach (aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite) will generate heat and form sodium bisulfate and sodium chloride. Growing demand from end-use industries is expected to drive the demand for sodium bisulphite during the period of study.

Sodium Bisulphite Market

Geographically Asia Pacific emerged as the largest producer and consumer of sodium bisulphite in terms of volume.
