The autoclave is a very expensive device that can cost as much as US$500,000. Carbon fiber prepreg needs to be stored at low temperatures. At room temperature (25°C), the storage period is only 1 month, at -5°C to 0°C, the storage period can be extended to 3 months, if the temperature is lower than -18°C the storage period can be increased to more than 6 months.
